PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring composition applicable to an ink composition for printing having excellent hue and fastness (especially ozone resistance), a color filter in a heat-sensitive transfer image-forming material, a dye liquor, etc., further a method for ink-jet recording by which an image having a good hue and high fastness to light and active gases in the environment, especially ozone gas can be formed by using the coloring composition for the ink-jet recording and a method for improving ozone resistance. SOLUTION: This coloring composition comprises at least one kind of azo dye having 390-470 nm maximum absorption wavelength λmax and a nobler oxidation potential than 1.0 V [vs. the standard calomel electrode (SCE)]. The method for ink-jet recording and the method for improving the ozone resistance using the coloring composition are provided. |
