PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentrating device which can concentrate organic trace elements such as the PCB, dioxins, etc., contained in treated water discharged from, for example, a PCB treating facility. SOLUTION: This concentrating device is provided with an introducing means 14 which introduces a solution containing a measurement sample 12 to a container body 11 from the top side of the container body 1 by making the solution into fine grains, a heating means 15 which is provided around the upper part of the container body 11 and reduces the diameter of a fine-grain mist 20 by heating the fine-grain sample 12, and a cooling means 16 which cools the lower periphery of the heating means 15. This device is also provided with a mist discharge pipe 18 the front end section 17 of which is inserted into the lower central portion of the container body 11 so as to discharge the fine-grain mist 20 from the container body 11.
