A compound of formula I wherein A is CH2 or (CH2)2; R1 is hydrogen, arylalkyl, alkenyl, or alkyl; R2 is alkyl or perfluoroalkyl; and R3 and R4 are as defined herein. Further provided are methods of using such compounds for the treatment of diabetes and related diseases, and to pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds.
