ENGINE SUPERCHARGING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output and fuel consumption by making full use of supercharging function at both the low-speed and high-speed operations of an engine. SOLUTION: The engine supercharging system is provided with: an engine 101 having an injection mechanism in which fuel is directly injected to the inside of a cylinder 101a; the first turbo supercharger 104 for supercharging during a low speed condition of the engine 101; the second turbo supercharger 105 for supercharging during a high speed condition of the engine 101; the first and second exhaust control valves 106 and 107 for selecting an exhaust passage and controlling a flow rate of exhaust gas in relation to the first and second turbo superchargers 104 and 105; and a controller 114 for controlling the opening and closing operation of the exhaust control valves 106 and 107 so as to implement stratified combustion or uniform combustion by using the first and second turbo superchargers 104 and 105 in accordance with the operating condition of the engine.
