PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for carbonizing a biomass without affecting the performances of a coke and recovering the carbonized product as a carbon source. SOLUTION: The biomass is charged before a coke at a high temperature is charged to a bucket wheel or at the same time of the charge and it is dried and carbonized by the heat of the coke and recovered as the carbon source. About 20% of the raw material biomass is recovered as a carbide without affecting the performances of the coke.
