PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of applying a plurality of position detection marks at prescribed intervals along an end edge on an endless belt side with high accuracy, and a tape used therefor. SOLUTION: This tape 40 for forming position detection marks on endless belt consists of a transparent cover tape 10, a first adhesive layer 11 provided on the whole surface of one-sided surface of the cover tape 10, a mark layer 12 constituted of a reflection material provided at a prescribed interval in the longitudinal direction of the cover tape 10 on the first adhesive layer 11, a base film 13 which overlaps the mark 12, a second adhesive layer 14 attached to the base film 13, and a separating sheet 16 which covers the second adhesive 14 and the first adhesive layer 11 between the mark layers 12, 12 each other. By peeling the separating sheet 16 from the tape 40 and affixing the separating sheet 16 along the side end edge of the endless belt 1, a position detection mark 30' is formed on the endless belt 1. |
