PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ink jet recording capable of printing a stable and highly minute image by improving clogginess, stability (rub resistance) after printing and smoothness of an ink jet, suppressing the deformation of a recording medium, and obtaining good image on the medium particularly having no ink absorbability irrespective of the type of the medium. SOLUTION: The method for ink jet recording comprises the steps of imparting any injection energy to an ink composition containing a photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator and a coloring agent to inject an ink liquid droplet to form the image, fixing the image on the recording medium and then irradiating the image with an ultraviolet ray. In this method, after the ink droplet is injected, the image is irradiated with the ray having a wavelength of 340 to 400 nm for 0.1 to 10 s, and thereafter the image is irradiated with the ray having the wavelength of 280 to 400 nm for 10 to 1,000 s. |
