摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat boiler for autogeneous smelting furnaces wherein the weld zone between a straight pipe and a bent pipe near the waste gas injection port and the bent pipe are protected from corrosion and abrasion. SOLUTION: The bent pipe 5 arranged on the top of a waste heat boiler inlet 4 has a padding 5a formed of a nickel based alloy welded in advance to the outer wall base material. Simultaneously with or after the welding of the bent pipe 5 to the straight pipe 6, a nickel based alloy padding 6a is provided on the weld zone between the bent pipe 5 and the straight pipe 6, on the part of the straight pipe 6 connecting to the weld zone, and on the part of the bent pipe connecting to the weld zone. At the said part of the bent pipe 5, the padding 5a is thus overlapped by an additional padding. Since the mechanically weak weld zone and the part where a drift occurs in the combustion waste gas flow are completely coated by the nickel based alloy, corrosion and abrasion caused by smoke and ash dust, are prevented.</p>
