PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer having the installing area smaller than a dryer of a conventional technology, and reducing a movable element. SOLUTION: This dryer 2 supplies air in two chambers 20 and 22 from a blower 4. One wall of the respective chambers 20 and 22 is composed of plate members 10 and 12 having an opening part 14. A passage 5 is defined for passing a drying film between the plate members 10 and 12. The passage 5 is formed so that the cross-sectional area increases in the lengthwise direction. A flow of air running along the passage 5 substantially flows in one direction along the passage 5 by a pressure drop.
