The invention relates to a bag made of a thermoplastic sheet, comprising a front wall (1) and a back wall (2) which are interlinked through side welds (3, 4), thus forming a filling opening (6). Each of the two walls has a double layer in the region (13) of the filling opening (6). One pull band (9, 10) extending throughout the width of the bag is inserted between the two layers of the front wall (1) and another one between the two layers of the back wall (2) and both pull bands (9, 10) are welded to each other at their two ends. According to the present invention, both corners of the front wall (1) and the back wall (2) are provided with cuts (14, 15) which uncover the end regions (16, 17) of the pull bands (9, 10), thereby forming handling holes. Both pull bands (9, 10) are made of an expandable plastic material and are welded to each other at a distance from the end weld (11, 12), at least in an uncovered end region (16, 17). |
