A server computer (1) constructs a shopping site on a network. A user can to purchase a desired commodity from the shopping site by utilizing a user terminal (2). If the commodity ordered by the user is out of stock, the server computer (1) inquires of the user about the demand level of the purchase of the commodity. When the commodity that has been out of stock arrives, the server computer (1) transmits arrival notice e−mails sequentially to users of the higher demand levels. The contents of the arrival notice e−mails are different according to the demand levels.
