PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a curable resin in which a reaction between an acidic group and an epoxy group during pre-baking is suppressed so that the failure of development is improved, and the generation of residual films during development is suppressed, and to provide a composition containing the curable resin obtained by the method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a curable resin consisting of a modified copolymer (D) is carried out as follows: the modified copolymer (D) is obtained by adding an epoxy-containing unsaturated compound to a part of acidic groups of a copolymer obtained from a (meth)acrylic acid ester (A) and a compound (B) containing an unsaturated group and having at least one acidic group; and the addition reaction is carried out in the presence of a catalyst and its oxide. The curable resin composition contains the curable resin obtained by the method, a photopolymerization initiator, optionally a dilution monomer or oligomer, and optionally an epoxy compound. |
