PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft acrylic resin composition having excellent softness, moldability, transparency and compatibility and usable as a substitute for a soft vinyl chloride resin moldable by calendering, extrusion molding, injection molding, etc., and provide a method for the production of the soft acrylic resin composition and a molded article produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The soft acrylic resin composition is produced by carrying out the emulsion polymerization of (A) a rigid acrylic resin and (B) a rubbery elastomer to obtain a multilayer structure, dispersing (C) a plasticizer in the emulsified multilayer structure before the solidification of the structure and salting out the product. The method for producing the soft acrylic resin composition comprises the emulsion polymerization of (A) the rigid acrylic resin and (B) the rubbery elastomer, the dispersion of (C) the plasticizer in emulsified state in the emulsified multilayer structure before the solidification of the structure and the salting-out of the product. The molded article is produced by the calendering, extrusion molding or injection molding of the soft acrylic resin composition.
