PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image displacement in a vertical scanning direction by correctly controlling an image write timing (position) of each color. SOLUTION: There are provided a first acceleration deceleration control means 208 for controlling accelerating/decelerating a scanner motor 103 based on a signal outputted from a BD sensor 58, and a second acceleration deceleration control means 209 for matching phases by detecting a phase difference between a reference signal 211 and the BD sensor 58 and controlling accelerating/decelerating the motor in accordance with the difference. An imaging start timing signal in the vertical scanning direction of each color is outputted on the basis of the phase difference between the reference signal and the BD sensor when the scanner motor 103 is controlled by the first and the second acceleration deceleration means.
