PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an adhesive strength between the crest part of a flute and a liner paper and thereby, manufacture a corrugated cardboard which is hardly susceptible of a flute cut and further, reduce the vibration and noise generated during forming a flute, with regard to a method, for manufacturing a corrugated cardboard, which is best suited for manufacturing the corrugated cardboard with high corrugations and a device for manufacturing a corrugated cardboard. SOLUTION: This device for manufacturing a corrugated cardboard is operated in such a way that a core paper is made to run through an engagement part of a pair of rolls l and 2 which have an outer peripheral face machined in the form of teeth and are opposed to each other and further, a liner paper is bonded to one of the sides of the fluted core paper to manufacture a corrugated cardboard. In this device, a gap 6 extending in the axial direction of the roll 1, is formed between the tooth top part 3 of one 2 of the rolls 1 and 2 and the tooth root part 5 of the other roll 1 at the engagement part. The height, in the center of the peripheral direction, of the gap 6 is larger than the height, at both end parts of the peripheral direction, of the gap 6.
