The invention relates to a double-leaflet cardiac valvular prosthesis that comprises a substantially circular valve ring (1) with a ring opening (4), and a first and a second valve leaflet (2, 3). Said valve leaflets (2, 3) can be individually pivoted from a first position, in which the valve leaflets (2, 3) substantially obturate the ring opening (4), to a second position, in which the valve leaflets (2, 3) substantially release the ring opening (4). The valve leaflets (2, 3) engage with each other and are pivotally disposed on the valve ring (1) without a separate fastening pin.
