PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt which can improve resistance against tooth chipping by markedly enhancing heat resistance and wear resistance on the surface of a tooth part. SOLUTION: In the toothed belt which is formed by being provided with a rear part 14 to which the core wire 7 is embedded along in the longitudinal direction of the belt and a plurality of the tooth parts 2 which are provided at the rear part 14 along in the longitudinal direction of the belt at prescribed intervals, a wire netting 4 made of a metallic fiber attached over an area from the surface of the tooth parts 2 to the surface of a tooth bottom part 3 between the tooth parts 2. Since the area from the surface of the tooth parts 2 to the surface of the tooth bottom part 3 can be covered with the wire netting 4 made of the metal fiber having high heat resistance and wear resistance, even if excessive load is applied to the tooth parts 2, strength of the tooth parts 2 can be held by the wire netting 4. |
