摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a device for azimuth detection of a movable body which can reset a drift error of an angular velocity sensor to restore it into its initialization azimuth without being affected by a magnetized material or a magnetic disturbance. SOLUTION: The azimuth detection system for a movable body is provided with an angular velocity sensor 40 installed in the movable body and an integrator 50 integrating the output of the angular velocity sensor to detect the azimuth of the movable body against its initialization azimuth. It contains a light emitting means 2 installed in a fixed structure to emit one-dimensional lights, an imaging means 10 comprising image pickup devices installed in the movable body to receive the lights output from the light emitting means via a cylindrical lens, a binarizing means 20 comparing the data width of a lengthwise directional optical distribution intensity signal received in the image pickup devices with the predefined threshold to detect the initialization azimuth, and an integrator reset means 30 resetting the integrator through the output from the binarizing means.
