摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a structure for fixing optical element which can suppress the generation of a displacement and improve the reliability and the manufacturing efficiency when an optical element is fixed to a substrate. SOLUTION: The optical element 10 is fixed to a housing 20 by the biasing force of spring members 31, 33. The spring member 33 is made to abut on a face opposite to a face abutting on the bottom 21 of the optical element 10, and the spring member 31 is made to abut on a face opposite to a face abutting on the vertical wall 23 of the optical element 10 to make the biasing force acts on the optical element, thereby two continuous faces of the optical element 10 abut on the corner of the housing 20 and the optical element 10 is positioned and fixed to the housing 20. Thereby after the housing 20 in the state where the optical element 10 is fixed to it, is positioned on the substrate 1, the housing 20 is fixed to the substrate 1 by YAG laser beam welding.
