RESIN COMPOSITION FOR AQUEOUS COATING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for an aqueous coating, which has excellent freezing-melting stability and low-temperature film-forming properties and forms a coating film having excellent washing resistance, stain resistance, blocking resistance and water resistance. SOLUTION: This resin composition for an aqueous coating contains the following emulsion particles of different phase structure (A) and (B) as binders. The emulsion particles of different phase structure (A) satisfies the following conditions that (1) an emulsion polymer at the outermost phase has -50 to 10 deg.C Tg and contains 1-20 mass % of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a PEG chain and/or a PPG chain, (2) an emulsion polymer at a phase inside the outermost phase has 30 to 110 deg.C Tg of and (3) the lowest film-forming temperature is 10 to 30 deg.C. The emulsion particles of different phase structure (B) satisfies the following conditions that (1) an emulsion polymer at the outermost phase has 60 to 80 deg.C Tg, (2) an emulsion polymer at a phase inside the outermost phase has -50 to 0 deg.C Tg of and (3) the lowest film-forming temperature is 10 to 30 deg.C.
