PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling device of a simple structure provided with a step eliminating mechanism and a traveling device having a traveling function not imposing a heavy load to an operator. SOLUTION: In a traveling device provided with wheels 2 movably supporting a body 9, a support member 3 rotationally drivably attached to a position not disturbing the rotation of the wheels 2, and an arm 4 attached to a part shifting from a rotational enter of the support member 3 and driven by the support member 3 used as a foothold and moving a tip 42 in a direction separating from the rotational center, sub wheels 103 are provided between the wheels 2, and continuous travel can be possible by rotating the sub wheels by the operation of the arm 4.
