PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system of an air conditioner and the air conditioner capable of transmitting a control signal by radio and suppressing output setting of a transmitting/receiving unit disposed in an outdoor machine and an indoor machine. SOLUTION: This control system of the air conditioner comprises a transmitting/receiving unit 40 for the outdoor machine, transmitting/receiving units 30a, 30b, and 30c for the indoor machine, and a center 20. The transmitting/receiving unit 40 for the outdoor machine is disposed in the outdoor machine 4 and transmits or receives the control signal. The transmitting/receiving units 30a, 30b, and 30c are disposed in the indoor machines 3a, 3b, and 3c and transmit or receive the control signal. The center 20 relays the control signal between the transmitting/receiving unit 40 and the transmitting/receiving units 30a, 30b, and 30c.
