Management of e.g. printer or copier producing documents containing both printed and unprinted sheets, co-ordinates arrivals of both types of sheet

The interval required for a sheet of paper to reach a fixed reference point along its path, having left a printing unit, is recorded. Similarly, a second interval is recorded, which is required to reach a fixed reference point over a second path, having left a feeder. A command adjusts the feed time to co-ordinate the first and second intervals for synchronism at the combination point. An Independent claim is included for corresponding document production equipment.
