The invention relates to a winding device for winding a strip-type synthetic winding material. To achieve this, the winding device comprises a winding point (3) containing at least one bobbin holder (4), a pressure roller (5) and a traversing device (6). The aim of the invention is to permit a continuous winding of the strip-type winding material. To achieve this, the device is provided with an additional winding point (10) comprising a second bobbin holder (11), a second pressure roller (12) and a second traversing device (13), both winding points being located on a displaceable carrier (2). The two winding points (3, 10) can be alternately displaced into an operational position and an idle position by means of said carrier (2).
