PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generating composition having a long term stability and self-ignitability at a temperature from 170 to 220 deg.C, and a gas generator. SOLUTION: The gas generating agent composition includes following ingredient (a), ingredient (b) and ingredient (c). (a) ammonium perchlorate, (b) chlorine scavenger, (c) one kind or two or more kinds of powder type fine crystal carbons selected from the group consisting of activated carbon, wood charcoal, coke, animal charcoal, bone charcoal and bituminous coal. Or, the above mentioned gas generating agent compound in which ingredient (b) is one kind or two or more kinds selected from the group consisting of a nitrate or carbonate of alkali metals, aluminium powder and magnesium powder. |
