摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens array substrate and an image display device which can prevent a motion instability or malfunction of the element of TFT or the like from happening, and at the same time, which can restrain the temperature rise of a liquid crystal display panel or the like. SOLUTION: A lens resin layer 78 and an encapsulation resin layer 79 are provided on a glass substrate 76. A lens array 80 is formed at the interface between the lens resin layer 78 and the encapsulation resin layer 79 whose refractive indexes are different to each other. On the surface of a cover substrate 81 provided on the encapsulation resin layer 79, a shielding member 82 which is made of material with high reflectance such as Al, Ag or the like is formed along the territory opposed to a boundary edge 77 of each lens which compose the lens array 80. A transparent electrode 83 is formed on the whole surface of a cover substrate 81 from over the shielding member 82.
