REFLECTION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate glaring light in a reflection type display device and to obtain a display with preferable appearance. SOLUTION: An optical member 101 is disposed on the display screen side of an electric display element of a reflection type display device so that the light entering from the display face passes from the back face side of the optical member to the top face side. A first transparent medium 102 having a refractive index nH and a second transparent medium 103 having a refractive index nL (satisfying 0.40>=nH-nL>=0.10) are disposed to form an interface in such a manner that at least part of the interface is inclined to the display face and that the first transparent medium is disposed on the back face side of the interface inclined to the display face while the second transparent medium is disposed in the top face side.
