PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary passenger elevator capable of easily providing a car gateway door to guide a passenger to a passenger car in an elevator shaft in accordance with a floor surface of each floor of a building. SOLUTION: The temporary passenger elevator 2 to be mounted on the building 1 is furnished with a plurality of elevator units 6a, 6b, 6c to form the elevator shaft 5 by connecting them to each other in the vertical direction and the passenger car 7 moving in the vertical direction in the elevator shaft 5 formed of the elevator units 6a, 6b, 6c. The elevator units 6a, 6b, 6c have unit longitudinal supports 10 arranged on each square corner, and the gateway door 8 devised free to move in the vertical direction is arranged on a building side side surface 22 formed of the unit longitudinal supports 10.
