PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and readily obtain a modified synthetic fiber which is produced by sticking a modifier on a molten yarn in spinning of synthetic fiber, is provided with new function and feeling and has durability. SOLUTION: This modified synthetic fiber having new function, feeling and durability is inexpensively and readily produced by sticking a functional agent or short cut fibers on a molten yarn by a method of hot-air blowing or charging adsorption in spinning of synthetic fiber while controlling fusion of mutual fibers and breakage in spinning of synthetic fiber.
