PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition in which abrasion resistance and low heat generating properties are maintained and wet-grip performance can be improved without reducing processability. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber composition, (B) 5-100 pts.wt. of silica having a nitrogen adsorption relative surface area of 100-300 m<2> /g, (C) 1-20 wt.% of silane coupling agent relative to the weight of the silica, and (D) 0.1-150 wt.% of a polyether compound such as poly(stearyl glycidyl ether) based on the weight of the silica.
