PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging device or the like capable of packing bagged articles in a box in the desired arrangement. SOLUTION: The packaging device is provided with a receiving-dropping assembly 14, output conveyer lines 18 and 22 for receiving a dropped article 16 by the assembly 14, a means for transferring the article 16 in the prescribed arrangement on the output conveyer lines 18 and 22, and a means 26 for lifting the article 16 or article arrangement 20 from the output conveyer lines 18 and 22 mounting it onto a container 28. The assembly 14 contains a pair of doors 30 switchable between a holding form and a dropping form. The doors 30 form an accommodation part 31 opening on the packing side in the holding form and closing on the other side. The accommodation part 31 forms a pair of opposed guide surfaces 35 protruding from the packing side while narrowing the interval to the supporting surface 33. The doors 30 are switched to the dropping form, then articles supported on the supporting surface 33 are dropped.
