PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking device which enables work alignment and chucking without changing the parts corresponding to various work diameters, and effective machining for various kinds of works having different diameters. SOLUTION: The chucking device is provided with a rotary motor 15, a plurality of rotary parts 16 which are driven synchronously by the rotary motor through a rotary shaft 15a and bevel gears 18 and 19, and a plurality of supportive parts 12 which are driven linearly in respective restricted direction by rotation of the rotary parts and hold and fix a workpiece 50 at the outer diametral section 50a. The linear motion of a plurality of the supportive parts in restricted direction respectively and synchronously permits the workpiece to be positioned and fixed at the diametral section with the workpiece being aligned.
