PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread rolling head for a tapered thread of a pipe which reduces amount of a resin coat removed prior to thread rolling for a resin coated pipe as well as reducing wear amount of both an automatic stoppage mechanism and a thread length adjustment mechanism. SOLUTION: The thread rolling head is equipped with a housing 30 comprising a front lid 32, a rear lid 33 and a cylindrical intermediate member 34 connecting the front and the rear lids, a cam ring 35 rotating inside the intermediate member 34, plural thread rolling rollers 31 through which rollers shafts 36 are inserted in their center, and bearing plates 37 in a rectangular plate shape which support both ends of the roller shafts respectively and are inserted slidably in recessed grooves 38 formed radially inside both the front lid 32 and the rear lid 33. An edge side of the length direction of the bearing plate 37 is formed slant and has a pin 37b implanted close to the edge side, while a cam surface 35a slanted correspondingly to a slant surface 37a of the bearing plate 37 and a slanted elongated groove 35b engaging with the pin 37b are formed inside the cam ring 35.
