PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical press whose frame structure is made so as to be suitable to an end. SOLUTION: The mechanical press has a structure where two annular main plates are provided at back and front, the two main plates are connected to connection plates, a slide 5 of the mechanical press 1 is provided freely movably up and down in the space surrounded by four columns 2c of the annular main plates, a bolster 6 is fixed on a bed 2a of the annular main plates, a crank shaft 3 is arranged in a crown part 2b of the annular main plates in the longitudinal direction, and the slide is moved up and down by a driving mechanism composed including the crank shaft.
