PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship control system, a control input system for a ship, a ship control device and a transmitter for the ship control device, allowing a maneuvering person to easily handle the ship. SOLUTION: Identification symbols are held by the transmitter and information for the identification symbols is transferred to the ship control device by radio. The ship control device inspects the identification symbols for validity and outputs signals for cancelling the operating lock of the ship if finding no problems. A user can make the ship ready for maneuvering the ship only by approaching the ship while carrying the transmitter on hand, without key operating work. Radio signals are transmitted by the transmitter and their strength is monitored by the ship control device. When the strength is lower than a preset value, work for specifying the position of the ship is done and engine control signals and steering control signals are generated so that the ship is moved back to the specified position. The ship can be conveniently maneuvered even during waterfall or diving.
