PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing a strainer at low costs without allowing the strainer to come off or cracking a pipe, when the strainer is fixed to the delivery pipe. SOLUTION: A strainer 10 inserted in a fuel passage 3a of a pipe part 3c of a delivery pipe 2 is fixed by thermal caulking so that coming-off of he strainer 10 and cracking of the pipe part 3c will not occur. Because a strainer insertion hole 3i can be punched without need of processing, man-hour and costs for processing can be eliminated, so as to provide a method for fixing a strainer at low costs.
