PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary cooling device of a condenser for an air conditioner easily and surely draining water from a pipe. SOLUTION: In this auxiliary cooling device, a nozzle 6 for spraying water toward an outdoor unit 2 is jointed to a pump through a water supply pipe. A control unit 4 is installed to control the spray of water from the nozzle 6. A water drain valve is installed to discharge water in the water supply pipe to the outside of the water supply pipe. A solenoid valve 43 is opened by the control unit 4 when an ambient temperature is detected and the temperature reaches a specified temperature. Since the solenoid valve 43 is opened when the water drain valve is open, air is fed from the solenoid valve 43 into the water supply pipe.
