CARBONACEOUS, POROUS BODY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonaceous, porous body with an excellent mechanical strength. SOLUTION: A carbon powder and an organic substance with a residual carbon ratio of 0-5 mass % are uniformly mixed with a resin which enables to become a starting material for an amorphous carbon. The resulting mixture is shaped into a required form and fired at a temperature of >=500 deg.C.
