PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sintered zirconia showing an excellent durability and mechanical properties, especially abrasion resistance, and a crusher/disperser member using this. SOLUTION: The highly durable Y2 O3 -based zirconia sintered body (a) mainly comprises a tetragonal system, wherein (b) the molar ratio of Y2 O3 /ZrO2 is (1.5/98.5)-(4/96), (c) the SiO2 content is 0.05-2.5 wt.%, (d) the Al2 O3 content is 0.05-3.0 wt.%, (e) the average crystal grain size is <=0.7 μm, (f) the weight ratio of SiO2 /(the total of Na2 O, K2 O, CaO and Fe2 O3 ) is >=5, (g) the bulk density is >=5.70 g/cm<3> and (h) the formula: SiO2 (wt.%) × average crystal grain size (μm) = 0.03-0.5 is satisfied. The crusher/disperser member is manufactured using this. |
