PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner preventing refrigerant from leaking to an indoor unit side even if a crack in a pipe or looseness of a pipe connection part occurs on the indoor unit side. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises: one unit of heat source machine A having a compressor 1, a four-way selector valve 2 for changing the flow passage of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor, and a heat source side heat exchanger 3; a plurality of indoor units B, C, and D having indoor side heat exchangers 5 and flow control devices 9; a first branch part 10 having valve devices 8a and 8b connecting the heat source machine to the indoor units through a first and a second connection pipes 6 and 7 and connecting one end parts of the indoor side heat exchanges selectively to the first and second connection pipes; and a relay machine having valve devices 20 connected to the other end parts of the indoor side heat exchangers, and also having a second branch part 11 connecting the other end parts of the indoor heat exchangers to the second connection pipe through check valves 17 and 18 connected to the valve devices. |
