PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components by obviating the need of an ink absorption body in a cap member, to simplify an assembling work and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises a recording head having a nozzle array for ejecting ink drops and reciprocating between a printing region and a non-printing region, and a capping means 9 for sucking and discharging ink from the nozzle array by having a cap member 31 capable of sealing the nozzle array of the recording head and a cap holder 30 holding the cap member 31. Ribs 71a-73a, 71b-73b for introducing the ink dropping from a nozzle array forming face of the recording head into the cap member 31 are vertically provided on the capping means 9. |
