摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable ink jet head in which the overall structure can be properly held even when a high speed recording operation is performed and its assembling accuracy can be improved. SOLUTION: The ink jet head comprises a head substrate 1 in which an insulation layer 3 made of boron oxide as a principle component is formed on the upper surface of a base plate 2 made of a single crystal silicon, a plurality of heat generating resistors 4, 4 are arranged on the insulation layer 3 and are covered with a protective film 7, a resin partition member 8 a part of which is mounted on a protective film 7 between the adjacent heat generating resistors and separates the adjacent heat generating resistors by the mounting part, and a top plate 9 which is mounted on the partition member 8 and blocks the ink flow channel provided at a region surrounded by the upper surface of the head substrate 1 and the wall face of the partition member 8. Recessed parts 3a are formed between the adjacent heat generating resistors on the insulation layer upper surface of the head substrate 1, and dummy patterns 6 which are longer than the heat generating resistor 4 and formed of a metal having a heat conductivity of 200 W/m deg.C or more are embedded in the recessed parts 3a.
