<p>A video/audio reproduction apparatus includes a re-synchronization controller (20) for performing operation control related to re-synchronization of video and audio transmitted via an IP network or the like. The re-synchronization is performed by controlling the delay time of the video data and audio data by a video delay controller (21) and an audio delay controller (22), respectively. Here, in the re-synchronization controller (20), the re-synchronization timing is judged by the audio level of the audio data, the coded video type of the video data, the data transmission state, user operation, and the like. Moreover, it is decided whether to perform the re-synchronization in the video-priority mode or in the audio-priority mode according to the fluctuation of the audio data arrival time, the data transmission state, contents of the video data and the audio data, user operation, and the like. At the decided re-synchronization timing, a predetermined re-synchronization algorithm is executed to decide the delay amount for synchronization and control the video delay controller (21) and the audio delay controller (22). This reduces disorders of the video and audio when performing re-synchronization.</p> |
