PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium having excellent concentration, minuteness of a recording image, fixability or the like of a coloring agent in the medium having a printability used for ink jet recording by using a non- aqueous ink. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording medium ink jet records by using the non-aqueous pigment ink containing a color material pigment, a high melting point solvent and a resin dispersion. The recording medium comprises at least one or more coating layers that coat a support. The coating layer contains at least one type selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate, kaolin, and barium sulfate. A Bristow's absorption coefficient of the colored liquid using the high boiling point solvent is 0.5 to 5 ml/m<2> .sec<1/2> . |
