PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supplying molten steel for continuous casting which can prevent Al oxides or the like in the molten steel from adhering to the internal face of an immersion nozzle or the like, and at the same time, generation of defects, and to provide a method for the continuous casting. SOLUTION: The device for supplying the molten steel for continuous casting is provided with a tundish 1 in which an upper nozzle 2 is provided at the bottom, a flow rate control mechanism 3 provided at the lower part of the upper nozzle 2, the immersion nozzle 4 constituted of a refractory having electroconductivity, one electrode 5 facing to an internal space of the tundish 1, the other electrode 6 provided to the immersion nozzle 4, and a power source 7 connected to the both electrodes 5, 6. The method for the continuous casting is constituted in such a manner that the molten steel is supplied into a mold by using the device for supplying the molten steel, while energizing between the internal face of the immersion nozzle 4 and the molten steel 8 passing through the inside of the immersion nozzle. |
