PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which easily and efficiently controls the range of viewing angle and the direction thereof. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a light source means, a display element containing a plurality of pixels illuminated by a luminous flux from the light source means and first optical element and second optical element which are arranged on the observation side of the display element in accordance with the plural pixels and have a prescribed refractive power. The relative position in optical axis direction of the first and second optical elements is allowed to be variable, thereby allows the observing viewing angle of the display device and the range of the observing viewing angle thereof to be variable. Further in this display device, a brightness elevating means which is almost suited to the optical characteristic at the time of narrowing the observing viewing angle on the surface of display element is disposed in the optical path between the light source means and the display element. |
