<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a glycolipid (specifically ganglioside) in which a large number of samples are simply processed at a low cost and by high recovery rates of a variety of the glycolipids are possible. SOLUTION: This method comprises steps (a) in which an extract is extracted from a biological sample with a mixture of a non-polar solvent and a polar solvent and is subjected to hydrolysis treatment to obtain a sample solution, and the obtained sample solution is brought into contact with a solution having a lower osmosis than that of the sample solution, through a semipermeable membrane, and then a step (b) in which this contact is held till the sample solution is divided into two or three layers, and the middle layer and/or the lower layer is separated.</p> |
