PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an ignition or the like at the time of operating with a high intensity optical output in a laser diode module using a single mode fiber. SOLUTION: In the laser diode module provided with a package holding the laser diode, an optical fiber cable extended from the package, and an optical connector connected with the edge of the optical fiber cable, a fire-resistant material is used in a part connected with at least an external face of an optical fiber of the optical fiber cable.
