PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a rail installing structure of a chassis capable of commonly using a rail supporting apparatus accommodated in the chassis on both sides. SOLUTION: In the rail installing structure of the chassis, a pair of rail members 10 at right and left sides slidably supporting the apparatus accommodated in the chassis 20 are installed on the inside of right and left side walls of the chassis. Projections 14, 15, and 16 for installation are arranged in the rail member 10 at three places of an installing surface for the chassis 20 in a longitudinal direction. In the right and left side walls of the chassis 20, installing holes 17, 18, and 19 slightly larger than the projections for installation 14, 15, and 16 are drilled at designated position in connection with the projections for installation 14, 15, and 16 of the rail member. Among the installing holes 17, 18 and 19, the installing holes 17 and 19 at both ends are arranged to make one side parallel to the rail member 10 in a longitudinal direction located at a regular position, and the installing hole 18 located in the center is arranged to make a side opposing to the side located at regular positions of the installing holes 17 and 19 at both ends located at a regular position.
