PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass cloth-opening apparatus which can wholly open a glass cloth in the directions of warps and wefts, respectively, in a good balance. SOLUTION: This glass cloth-opening apparatus 10 is characterized by comprising a roller 12 which has a plurality of press members 12a for pressing the glass cloth G on a virtual circumference and is rotated on a rotation shaft O as the center of the virtual circumference, and a glass cloth-transporting section 14 for bringing the glass cloth G into contact with at least two press members 12a in air and simultaneously transporting the glass cloth G in the direction orthogonal to the rotation shaft.
